Yikes!  I just started the EASY routine but have a big conflict!  Our stroller fit (excercise class) causes us to be out of the house from 8:30-10:00 which is when my 5.5month old is supposed to be sleeping.

I REALLY dont want to stop going since I am a first time mom who is new to the area and we are trying to make some friends. (stay at home moms know how importnat that socialization is ;)  we have been going for 2 months now and dont want to give it up.  There are no other times to go as it is the only class offered in my area.

The only thing i could think of was to try to push her wake up time to 8am so she could nap at 10 when we got home but since she currently wakes up at 6:30 on the dot and plays in her bed until close to 7, I don't see how i could push it all the way to 8.

She currently is not sleeping through the night at all but that is a topic for another forum  :)

If anybody has had a similar problem or just has a good idea please let me know!!!!

Thanks so much

If she can nap in the stroller, and this class isn't an every day thing, then I don't see why it would be a problem to allow her to nap during the class.  If she doesn't get a full nap during that period, you may need to put her to bed early that night, or she may make some of it up during the next nap or the night.
You're right, you need to have a social outlet, so hopefully can you find a way to compromise.

I had the same problem months ago when I joined Strollerfit. I decided to let my dd nap in the stroller, mine has an adaptable basinett, she had the best naps ever during this class!! I make sure her afternoon nap is in her crib so that she doesn't get too used to sleeping on the go and in the stoller and it never turned out to be a problem.

Enjoy your class, it's important to get out and about! I'm sure you'll make lasting friends, my class is done now but a bunch of us continue to get together on the same day during the week.

As a mother with 2 children you find when the 2nd one comes along you just have to adapt a bit... one day out of "routine" isn't too bad, my ds#2 often had to sleep on the go in the early months & did ok.
