One step forward, two steps back?
« on: August 09, 2006, 03:31:00 am »
Last week I reverted from a 4 hour feed cycle to a 3 hour feed cycle for my DD, Keira. I did this as Keira was not settling during the day and was only napping for 30 to 40 minutes. She was getting so overtired and overstimulated that she'd fall asleep while feeding, and was becoming really difficult to get to sleep at night.

The first two days were really good. She had three 1 1/2 hour naps and a few quick catnaps during the day and was much easier to settle at night. She also fed much better.

This week she's gone back to quick naps during the day and is getting more difficult to settle again.

She's now almost 11 weeks old, but was 4 weeks early so is only considered 7 weeks old developmemtally.

Do I persist with this 3 hour cycle or try and change it back again? I'm getting no breaks for myself at the moment as I only just get her settled and I have to go back to her again.

Thanks for any advice!

Hi, there.  Sorry that your post has gone unanswered.  Can you tell me what her daily routine looks like?
