Keep in mind too that you may be approaching the "drop the catnap" time :-\  I know, once you get it figured out  - they'll change on ya!

How did last night go? Did he eat good at the DF?

Love the pic - he looks happy and healthy!  :) :)

He did eat well at the dream feed. Better than most nights. He was up at 530am though. I usually do pu/pd if he wakes at night but it is next to impossible to do after 5am, he's so hungry by then. So I fed him and put him back to bed. We got up at 715 (I slept in a bit) and fed again. It's been so long since he's been up in the night, I'm sure he has forgotten about the pu/pd routine.

Ya, I do think that he may want to drop the catnap. Depends on how well he has napped during the day. 2 good naps = no cat nap, bad naps = good cat nap! It's his last chance to get rested before bed.

I also think it might be time to drop the dream feed. Last few weeks he doesn't take much at it. I don't really like doing it, I'd rather go to bed. But everytime I skip it, he gets up between 5 or 6am. Hate that even more. I have read how to wean the dream feed, but I kinda think that won't work. How would moving the dream feed closer to bed time prevent early morning wake ups? I'm also still worried about my supply, maybe I could pump before bed instead? 12 hours is a long time to go without feeding.

There are so many variables. Yesterday he didn't take as much solid foods either, so maybe that's why he woke earlier.

I still haven't done what the LC told me to do (feed every two hours and/or pump more), I'm just not 100% convinced I need to do that. I have increased my fenugreek to 3 capsules 3 times per day, I was only taking 1 cap. 3 times per day and I guess that was not the right thing to do. I haven't noticed a change yet.

We did the DF until about 10 months - but it was more by my choice - I wasn't ready to fight being up at night! ;) We also did a 5-5:30 feed, which wasn't a big deal since that is when my DH is up to leave for work anyway - we would then go back to bed till 7ish. It does take longer for a breastfed baby to sleep thru - I think, so don't be afraid to keep on of those feeds for a little while longer. If you drop the DF and he is doing fine without it, you can pump, but you will keep making that milk, if you stop pumping the milk for the night should go away and your daytime milk should stay up okay.
