Her awake times have varied by no more than half an hour.  It's just that I get stuck with her waking up at different times hungry even though it may be half an hour before from the actual ideal wake time.

Maybe that's it....but is half an hour going to mess that up so greatly??

ACK

What should I do if she wakes up a little earlier??

Thanks Stacy.  I keep watching her cues...and realized that she doesn't seem to yawn anymore.  She forgets to yawn until I start the winddown and then it's like "oh yeah... I am tired, Mommy!".  But, that doesn't seem to help for getting her back on naps and going back to her 7 min shh-pat...it' still at 30 min.  Maybe she needs to stick with just doing one thing in her awake time instead of a couple.  I'll have to give that a try.

By the way, for these last 2 days she actually woke up around the same time (I had to wake her).  That's a first ever!  Not sure if it will continue but maybe good things will come.

Thank goodness I know now I'm not the only one around with baby sleeping problems.  It was driving me absolutely mad!!  At least now I know there are other people to complain with and ask advice on.

OH NO!!
Last night was bad. She slept okay till her first feed then after that it seemed like she had bad gas.  She was panting and writhing quite a bit.  Is there anything I can do for gas?  short of pushing her knees to her chest...there wasn't much else I could do.  I'm so desperate now probably cause mom got even less sleep than baby...maybe 3 hours if I was lucky enough!!

I'm praying very hard that she gets a good nights rest tonight.  I broke down in tears this morning for her first nap...she wouldn't go down hardly at all and this second nap is the same thing.  I had a 2 hour block for her to nap and it took 1.25 hours for her to sleep.  So she is SUPER tired, SUPER cranky, and SUPER fussy.  For an Angel, textbook baby.... this is BAD.  I think we will both benefit if she gets a good nights rest tonight.  I think her naps today are going to be a complete write-off!!

Things are going terribly downhill this week  :(

Hi stacy,

I'm not eating anything unusual.  I tried some gas drops (gripe water) last night before the first feed after my dreamfeed...and although she didn't like the taste of it very much, I think it helped.  She ended up needing only one feeding last night instead of her usual 2!   :o  I wonder if I have been mistaking her second feed as hunger.  It's odd cause she sucks her hands in a real desperate way so I always assumed hunger.  The only thing was, by missing that one feed she woke up 45 min before the awake time...but I am treating it like awake anyway.  She was SO hungry.

I wish I had known about gripe water earlier!

Thanks
