Ricotta disaster!
« on: August 12, 2006, 18:24:30 pm »
Last night my DD threw up A LOT...after her dreamfeed and then again at 3.30am.

I gave her Ricotta (pasturised Italian cream cheese made from Cow's milk) mixed with banana for dessert. I'd given her some a few days ago mixed in scrambled egg and she'd been fine so I though it'd be ok, but it definately wasn't  :-\

She's been having cow's milk in her oats and muesli for weeks and also has chedder cheese and butter with absolutely no problem. so it's not an allergy to cow's milk

Anyone else had any problems with this?

I haven't offered Calum Ricotta, I only use Philadelphia to mix things with.

Have you given her scrambled egg before??

Can I also say that my neighbours LO threw up everywhere today and so did Calum a few hours later, both for no apparent reason.

Could it be a wee bug?

The scrambled eggs was a few days ago with no apparent side effects (even with the ricotta mixed in, although it was only a tiny amount)

I guess it could be a bug, and she is also teething (3 top teeth) Will keep my eye on her over the next few days and may try Philidelphia next time  ;)
