Hi to everyone, I need some advice on how to put my 15 week old on EASY. I think he used to fall asleep while breastfeeding and now he associates BF with sleep so when I try to feed him after naps he refuses to breastfeed even though he is hungry. That results in him being cranky for the most of activity period and then he cries his head off when I put him for a nap without feeding. I feel bad about it because I  think he is hungry and most of the times I just breastfeed him before the nap. It is also very difficult to keep him awake while BF. Any suggestions how this can be changed. Thank you.

Hello,

Have you tried waiting 15-20 after he's woken to feed him? If you're doing it right away he may not be as willing to take a feed.  You can "walk" his body with your fingers so as to keep him awake, talk to him about your day etc.

Here's another post addressing falling asleep on the breast in our Breastfeeding Forum that might help you
