Did your baby have a bad reaction to peas?
« on: August 23, 2006, 21:51:54 pm »
We just started peas 2 days ago. The last 2 days he's been very fussy and he's woken in the night both times and couldn't get back to sleep (but wasn't crying). I can't figure out if it's teething (he's gnawing everything in sight and drooling - but he's been doing that since 19weeks and he's 34 weeks today!) or a bad food reaction. He's had trouble with rice cereal, oatmeal cereal, pears, and green beans. In all cases he just became super fussy and slept poorly. Once I stopped the foods, in 3 days he was back to normal!

Just wondering if peas would cause a food problem.

Peas can cause wind so perhaps this is what your DS has. I would stop them for a while and try re introducing them in a few months.

Thanks. My LO has had major gas problems since birth, and we had to stop green beans for the same reason. I think we will stop. On to yogurt!
