I kept it simple.  We had hot dogs, chips, cake and ice cream :-)  We didn't have any other babies there.  The next youngest were 3 and they all love hotdogs, so it was easy for us.

I didn't do anything for the babies! It wasn't lunch or dinner time and so many of us were giving our babies diff things it would have been far too much hassle. I put out nibbles for the adults and the babies had their own snacks and then birthday cake if they were aloowed it

Granpa met us at Chuckie Cheese for pizza and games.  Then over to an ice cream place.  Lo had sorbet d/t slight lactose intolerance.

my lo had his party on saturday and there were babies, toddlers and adults i made the same for everyone and luckily it went really well.

sandwiches... egg mayo, cheese, jam, choc spead and a few veggie 'ham'
cheese and onion rolls (like sausage rolls but we are veggie)
bread sticks
dips humous and cheese
cheese
crisps
cucumber, peppers etc for dipping
butterfly buns and fairy cakes
choc crispy cakes
jelly and ice cream - the adults seemed to enjoy this more than the kids!!!
and of course birthday cake

all home made so i knew they were safe even for younger babies

i dont even think that people noticed that is was all veggie either!!!

good luck and hope your lo has a great day!!!

I don't think we'll have any other babies at Zander's party, just family and older children.  I went to a 1st birthday party recently for a little girl named Molly and all the food began with an 'M'!

We did adult nibbles: sandwiches (philadelphia cheese and fresh strawberries - yum), little quiches, sweet things.

For littler people: roasted sweet potato halves, Organix finger foods (gingerbread men, healthier looking crisps), lots of different fruit, cheese straws.

Hi,

For my dd's 1st b-day we had:

Veggies and dip
Fruit plate
Cold cuts, cheese and crackers
Meatballs
Stuffed pasta shells
Asian noodles

I think we may have had a couple of other things too, but I can't remember.  The food was well received by the adults and the lo's.  Most of the lo's were around 1 yr as well.

We also had cake, and a non alcoholic punch.  We did have other beverages, but didn't really offer them.  We wanted to keep it simple, and enjoy the party with our daughter instead of "hosting" too much.  We also had the party from 2 until 4, that way it wasn't really lunch or dinner time, and our dd didn't have a melt down from overstimulation.
