When to switch from the haberman feeders
« on: August 27, 2006, 20:42:41 pm »
Hi....I have been using the Haberman feeders now since my daughter was born. Alana is now 24weeks old and I'm not sure if i should keep her on the feeders or switch to a standard bottle. My main reason for using the haberman was Alana was very windy and they were fab for this!
Any advice would be greatly received.

I stopped using it when Calum started drinking over the amount that could fit in the haberman - I think think this was about 3 or 4 months, we tried another type of bottle and he took too it no problems.

I have found a larger bottle that the haberman feeders fit onto but was not sure if once i had started on them if it was best to continue with them. Alana loves the feeders ( wished i had them for my son Evan ) im just a bit worried the wind might return if i stop using them?
Thanks for replying to me.

I also tried larger bottle (non brand) but they leaked.

When I made to swap to non-haberman bottles I opted for an anti-colic bottle - like the chicco, that unscrews at the bottom and has a valve to let air out.

I bought them from my local supermarket (UK)  - here is a picture  http://www.babygear.co.uk/appl/productlink.php?product_id=11306&comp_id=18&subm_id=14201043   the only thing with these is that the teat is narrow - totally different from the haberman.

There are now other types of anti colic bottles on the market.
