How much milk for 1 yar old?

Hi.
My ds is one years old on saturday. He is at nursery and they have advised me to drop his 2pm botle
His eating is as follows:
6.30: 8oz milk
8.00: breakfast, weetabix, toast, fruit
12.00: lunch, shepards pie and veggies etc, yogurt/fruit/cheese
4.30: tea, sandwhiches, fruit/cheese etc
5 ish: snack,advocado/rice pudding etc.
6.30: 8oz bottle

If he does not each all of his lunch at nursery, i give him more for tea when he gets home, depending on what he will eat and how much he wants.
Is it right that he only gets 16oz of milk per day??? I am not sure.
Also, he is due to go on cows milk next week, i really don't want him waking from hunger in the night, should i stick with follow on milk or is cows milk just as heavy.

Any advice will be welcome

i assume they think he should drop it if its affecting his appetite for solids?
i think from a yr onwards they should have a max of a pint.
DD only dropped her 3rd btl a month ago and she takes about 8-10oz of follow on milk (still working on the transition to cows milk!!) but has other milk products as well such as yoghurts etc.

when moving onto cows milk a lot of people start off by substitutuing an oz of follow on ie if he has 8oz then make up 7oz follow on and 1oz cows milk and gradually substitute until completely on cows milk.

DS consistently takes about 15 oz. of milk a day, plus 4 oz. of yogurt, and some cheese. Occasionally he drinks an extra 5-6 oz in a third bottle at noon, but he frequently refuses that one.

Zander has 8oz at morning and night but I've reintroduced a 3rd cup of milk before his long nap as he's not eating well at the moment - I offer him 4oz and sometimes he drinks it, sometimes he doesn't and it's only temporary.  I'm actually in the process of cutting his morning milk to 6oz as he has no appetite for breakfast.  I think the minimum is 12oz including milk in cooking/yogurts/cheese isn't it?

From one year it is important that large volumes of milk are discouraged, as this can reduce a baby’s appetite for solid food.

At this age, you baby needs a minimum intake of 350m (12fl oz) a day, and no more than 600ml (20fl oz), inclusive of milk used in food.

Try to abandon the bottle, and offer all drinks in a straw/sippy/open cup from now on. Do encourage you child to keep up their fluid intake with water and diluted unsweetened fruit juice although drinking too much before a may considerably reduce a baby’s appetite, so offer solids first at avoid this happening.

Catherine now has 8ozs in the morning and 7ozs at night and a tub of yoghurt and cheese everyday. Some days she also has custard plus the milk in her cereal.
