nw 45 min after bedtime

What could be the cause of a nw 45 min after bedtime?  he goes down easily (independently) but occasionally wakes 45 min later, requiring help to settle.  I know 45 min is a sleep cycle, but what could be causing him to fail to enter the next one on night sleep?  And just some nights?

Does he use a soother?  How long and how many naps does he take?

6:30 wake
A=3 hr
9:30 nap (1-1:30 long)
A=3 hr
2 nap (1:30-1:45 long)
A=3:30 ish
bedtime at 7

he's almost 9 mo old.  good bedtime routine, etc

teething (for 2 mo with no teeth!    )
crawling and pulling up both this past weekend.

Think that's what it could be?  Just have to wait it out?  It's not every night, just occasionally.

This is what happened to my son exactly... it lasted for almost 1 month. He
was about 6 months old at the time. He went down so easily without any
assistance but after the first sleep cycle he would wake up and cry?? It
just didn't make sense. Unfortunately we ended up doing the w/i w/o method
so that way whenever he did wake up he had to learn to put himself back
to sleep. The GOOD thing was...we only had to do this method for 3 days!!!

From my understanding, wakings very early in the night are often caused by overtiredness.  Perhaps you could try a slightly earlier bedtime (like 15 mins or so) and see if that helps.....

crawling and pulling up both this past weekend

MIne did this in the last few weeks as well and he was really restless.  It just worked itself out really.  We just went and soothed him and then he was fine.

Well, he started to quickly settle....we usually hear him 45 min-1 hr after going down...just a peep, sometimes a scream/cry, but just one noise, and before I can get off the couch, he;s quiet again.  So, I guess he figured it out on his own.  Thanks for the replies.
