What type of shoe is best for new walkers?
« on: August 31, 2006, 02:59:56 am »
My lo has worn the Robeez shoes since she was littlle, and still does. But since she is walking a little more now I wonder if I should get her a more "solid" shoe.
Any thoughts?

TIA

I got mine shoes from Stride Rite, which have a bit firmer of a sole than Robeez, but are still pretty flexible.  You want something that is still pretty flexible for a new walker.  Generally, you should only use shoes when your LO is outside -- when she's inside bare feet/socks/Robeez-type shoes are best as she'll still be developing balance and coordination for quite awhile yet and bare feet (or similar if it's cold by you) are best for that.
