Another Early Waking Question
« on: September 03, 2006, 16:00:49 pm »
Hi, I know it has been asked a million times, but here is our situation.  DD is 8 mos old, and for the past 2 weeks has decided to get up at 6.  Used to sleep till 7/7:30.  At that time I quit nursing, and cut out the cat nap.  Extended her a time to 3 hrs.  It all happened at once by accident!  She also has learnt to sit and stand herself.  Just wondering if she will remember to sleep till 7 once she gets used to all the new changes or is this going to stay like this forever.  Has always gone for naps abd bedtime excellent by herself, no complaints there! I have tried earlier bed times, later, shorter naps, longer naps.  If naps are short, she is in bed by 6:30 latest, and if she happens to have to short pm naps, then bed is by 7:15.  She is content, but I enjoyed the later wakings!  I also go in now that I don't bf, and give her 2 oz at around 9 pm.  This week will be 1 oz, and by the end nothing.  Could this be the prob?  There is also no nightwakings either, she has slept through since 4 1/2 - 5 mos old.  Really I shouldn't complain because she is an excellent sleeper.  Oh well.  Thanks in advance for any insight someone might have.
