Can't change picture

I'm having trouble changing my profile picture. It lets me download, but the picture stays the same. Any suggestions on what I might be doing wrong?

It's not just you , i had the same problem and Helen told me it's to do with the site having work done on it to stop the hackers ! It will be fixed soon i'm sure

the way i was doing it before didn't work .I had to make my picture even smaller .Now i have an animal picture so will have to change it again

I can't get a new avatar. every time I try I get a message saying that the piture is too large or that it isn't an avatar.  :-\

The picture needs to be no bigger than 120 pixels wide and 160 pixels tall and no more than 100kb in file size.

I've managed to change mine by reducing it so much the quality doesn't look good anymore (and stupidly overwriting the original in the process >:()

your picture look o.k to me ! do you not have the original photo saved on your comp ? you can always put it back

nope, in reducing the size I thought I did save as, but seem to have just saved it at the reduced pixel size, overwriting the original quality. Ugh!

I am having the same problem,had it today and yesterday?

you have to have it the right size , i think before the site resized it for you .

I have put it down to 100 by 100 and still comes up with the same?
