I went to Walmart and stared at 5 different types of cups...all with straws....some are too big...some too heavy...or so I think. I opted for the 2 pack of Nuby silicone straw
no spill flip it cup
Lizwe is sleeping, so I cannot have him test it, but once he wakes tomorrow AM I will. Dh and I tried them but found them a bit tough to get the liquid out..but we shall see.
I'll let you know the outcome!

I just ran across this post. I am using Nuby sippy cups. I use to use some of the others listed, but had the same chewing problem that you have. My daycare recommended these and ds is already doing pretty well with it (ds is 6mths).
FYI - I don't know about this website - just googled to find a picture for you. I know they sell them at WalMart

I think they work so well because the spout is the same material as a bottle nipple

Funny - I must have missed that post in my skimming
Sorry!!! If it is tough to start with I would stick with it. My friends were kind of bottle and sippy cup freaks and just brought me a bag with about 100 bottles and about 50 of these sippy cups
The two that I have washed and have been using are soft - maybe they have been worn in after use

I lied, well sort of..the cup I am speaking of is a Nuby, but the no spill flip it cup for those straw loving children..its 12oz..which sounds like a lot...but it seems good for my 16.5 month old.

Nuby soft spout is the only one Hugo uses well, but watch out; sometimes he flips it right over and "milks" it all over his tray!
