Finger Foods for Self Feeder
« on: September 14, 2006, 22:05:36 pm »
My dd desperately wants to feed herself.  She doesn't want any purees or  baby cerals or mom putting finger foods in her mouth for her.  The problem is she's not so good at picking things up unless they are like a dry cereal.  Fruit is too slippery, etc.  I know she's not getting enough solids to eat right now because she is waking up in the night starving for the boob.  Any suggestions on easyto pick up, but nutritious, finger foods?

Good idea for the fruit...I will definitely try that.  Are feeder bags the ones you can put frozen purees in when they are teething?  (I've been meaning to pick one up)

Rolling the fruit in cereal worked like a charm...she ate so much at dinner tonight I thought she was going to burst.  Thanks for the great idea!
