how long to transition?
« on: September 18, 2006, 01:41:15 am »
I have been reading the other posts on switching from 3 - 3.5/4 hr EASY but not really sure how long to wait.
Just wondering since right now I'm pretty much feeding ds every 2 hours to re-establish milk supply (not on EASY right now) how long before I can switch back again?
Planning to go back to 3 hr EASY once supply back. But was hoping to try 3.5/4 the next week? Is this too soon?

At 4 months your lo should be on the 4 Hour EASY, or close to transitioning to it.

I suggest following your lo's cues and see how you get on.  When your supply is back, go back to the 3 hour, and then try again in a few days to the 3.5 hour and see how he goes.  Once he is used to being back on a longer routine, you can transition him to the 4 Hour.

HTH

Good Luck and let us know how you get on.
