Just an update;we are still struggling with nightwakings. I have to go in pretty much every night just to lay her downand giver her the blankie. I just do not understand why she can no longer settle herself. It takes me sooooo long to get back to sleep afterwards I am still so so tired. I am hoping it is just a phase and I am not doing any accidental parenting ( at least I think not....) so I do not know what to do. Might try he wake to sleep thing.....

Hi notenoughshelfspace.  I can really empathise with your tiredness - i'm 12 weeks pg and with a 13 month old, suffering morning sickness and awful migraines every few days, and we just don't need them making life more difficult for us right now do we?!!  We don't often have night wakings (maybe once or twice a week and these days we're trying not to go in straight away to see if she can settle herself back...), but right now we're battling with early wakings.  I got some good advice on this board last week and i'm trying to be consistent with that every day now.  Anyway, we're using a bit of w2s too.  It's hard work, and very annoying when it doesn't work (which it doesn't always with our dd), but at least you feel like you're being proactive.  Maybe it could be worth a go for you, say at 11.20pm if she's waking up at midnight.  Thinking of you. x

Thank you for the response! I am OK today as the W2S worked for us last night and she slept through; lets see if it lasts......

Really glad to hear that.  Is it still going well?
