Does the creche have facilities to heat food?
Our daycare nursery has a cook who comes in each day to prepare meals fresh. They do the menus on a four-week rota so you can see what they are going to have each day for dinner and pudding and as lo is only 7mo we can opt out and send our own if we want and they'll heat it up no problem. It means he can also try a new dish each week which mught be something we wouldn't usually cook at home. The babies have the same as the bigger kids but it is blended for them.
The nursery do things like lamb hotpot, chicken and veg casserole, spag bol and lentil stew with usually fruit, yoghurt, jelly, custard or icecream for pudding. It sounds pretty much like what you are giving your child.
