PLease help 1 year old driving me insane
« on: September 25, 2006, 18:34:22 pm »
??? My LO has always been a reasonably good sleeper except recently. She has just learnt to walk so not sure if it is a developmental thing, but any ideas as to what to do would be gratefully received. Her routine is as follows:

Wake between 6.45am - 7.30am
Bottle 6oz
Breakfast 8.30
Nap around 9.00 -10.00 depending on what time she woke up. She will then sleep for about 45mins - 11/2hours
Lunch around 12.30 - 1.00pm
Nap 2.00- 2.30pm for around  45 mins to 1 hour
tea: 5.00pm
Wind down from 6.00 onwards
Bed between 6.30pm - 7.00pm with a bottle 9oz.

When we put her to bed she acts tired, if we stay in the room she will chatter constantly, the minute we leave the room she will cry. we have tried going in and reassuring her and coming out again on a regular basis. We have also tried slowly moving out the room, but nothing seems to be working.

We dont want her to cio so lost as to what to do..... please, please help

The only thing I can think of is that it may be time to move towards a one nap routine.  There's loads of routines posted for 13 mo plus on the EASY board (I think).

I had the same thought since both naps are only about 1 sleep cycle.  She may be resisting bedtime because the nap is eanding too late in the day for her.

What if you moved her bedtime to 7-7:30PM?
