Scroll bars only sometimes??

How come once I wrote a really really long post and there were no scroll bars within my post, which I like, and then same day I wrote another post, much shorter, but you had to scoll within the post just to catch the last sentence??  I am confused.

Though I had to take out spaces for it to not show the scroll bar.  When I added spaces just now to show you it now doesn't make the reader have to use the scroll bar. Well if it happens again I won't fix it and I'll post it to show you.  :)
