If you're in the UK supposedly there was some concern if a baby had just had the live polio vaccine and then pooed for Britain. Now that this has changed you don't have to wait for all jabs:

Our local pool wants babies to have all their three sets of jabs before they let you bring them in - I took lo the weekend after the last set and he had a blast!

The swimming was a HUGE success - seems we might have an Aussie Olympic swimmer on our hands  ;D He loves the bath and this thankfully translated into a love for the pool. I even put him completely under twice and he didn't even blink! Probably cause he is used to me covering him with water when I wash his hair!

Just a note - they didn't even question us when we took him in to the pool re: immunisations etc, but that may be because he looks older than he is.

We are going back tomorrow with a few babies the same age - should be fun and the best thing was, my 45 min napper came home and slept for 2 hours! We might be going to the pool every 2 hours pre-nap time!

It depends on the swimming pool some say that you can't take babies until there 2nd or 3rd injection, but there is no real (medical) reason why you can't go before the jabs! We took DS from a very young age and bought a pair of washable swimming nappy pants they look just like little swimming trunks but have a linning to keep in any messes and you just put them in the wash and reuse, you can buy them in adams and mothercare stores.

Have fun

Those pants are cheaper Max's mum, I had those for Nathan, but I like little swimming costumes for girls, and I put the little swimmer nappies underneath.  Have you seen the type that you describe in an all in one costume for little girls, or are they just the pants.

Thanks Steph, I found a bikini, she will look lovely in that when we go to Disneyland and saves packing a load of little swimmers, need all the room for her ordinary nappies.
