The LLL have a quote that spit-up is more a laundry problem than an eating problem.
If he is spitting up and doesn't seem unhappy about it then I don't think you necessarily have to do anything differently. Some babies just take a little longer to develop their sphincter muscles. My baby Sam wore a bib for the first 6 months of his life and spit up a ton and was a 'happy spitter'.
It certainly doesn't mean that they need to be fed more necessarily. It can be connected to oversupply and it's sometimes said it's a baby's way of self-regulating. Don't assume that quite a lot didn't stay down. Only an oz or so of milk can make quite a mess.
You could slow it down by looking at keeping him fairly upright after a feed or feeding more upright or avoiding energetic bouncing games! Also look at how you are burping because milk sometimes comes backup with a repressed burp.
It goes away with age.
If he seems to be in pain though it might be reflux. However if he doesn't seem to mind (except for the times he comes out of his nose

) then I wouldn't worry.
