my hv has suggested we try ds hypoallergenic formula.  after 2 days we havent noticed a significant improvement is it worth continuing how long should it take to work?

any advice gratefully received.

I don't have any advice, but have been in your shoes. We were told to use the hypoallergenic with our son and didn't notice a difference after  a few weeks (and a lot of cash missing from our wallets, the stuff isn't cheap)  Our ped. had us settle with soy formula.  I hope you find the answers you are looking for.  For now, just wanted to send hugs and say you're not alone!  Erin

I'd give the formula at least 2 full weeks before making a decision. Why was he put on the hypoallergenic formula?

spitting up/reflux, colicy at times, congested nose, and mucousy stools.  Can mucusy stools be caused by anything else.  He is only 3 months.  Also can anyone tell me what the allergy rash looks like.  he has pin prick spots on back of his neck and on his back. I put this down to heat in the car seat but yesterday we didn't go out.
