Possible nightwaking tonight??
« on: October 03, 2006, 03:13:44 am »
Hi,

I just started to stop the DF tonight and reduced the DF bottle by 1oz but LO didn't drink much of the formula.  If LO wakes up tonight, should I feed him?  I'm expecting that he may wake up in the middle of the night tonight since he didn't want to drink his DF bottle.  He only drank 2oz of the 5oz bottle.

Any advice much appreciated.
TIA

Tonight is day two for my little one with no DF.  So far so good.  I struggled with the same question.  The fact that your little one did not take much of the DF may be proof that he is ready to drop the DF.  But I think that if your little one does wake up, then I would try to get him to go back to sleep with no bottle and if he won't then I would probably feed him.  I hope all goes well for you!

It can't hurt to try and settle him first without feeding. If it doesn't work, then feed - you'll know if he's truly hungry.
