turning 1 and looking for feeding schedule advice
« on: October 03, 2006, 21:01:36 pm »
Since we brought Jillian home she's been on a great schedule and took to it like an angel.  For the past 4 months she wakes at 7am, has her bottle, eats b-fast at 9am, takes a short nap, bottle at 11-ish, lunch at 1-ish, bottle at 3-ish, nap, dinner at 5:30, bath, bottle and bed at 7-7:30.
Now that she'll be 1 later this month, I'm not sure what schedule to put her on and how to ween her off the formula.  She loves water and took to her sippy cup no problems. She eats a combo of finger foods and jars.
Advice - help?

Hi
Here is my 15 mth old DS's day ...

6.45 - up and has water before we go downstairs
7.30 - Breakfast 2x Weetabix with milk and fruit puree to sweeten
10.30 ish - snack of maybe biscuit, fruit etc
12.00 ish - lunch of either sandwiches or beans on toast or croissant plus yoghurt and fruit
1.15/1.30 ish - nap for around an hour
3.00 - snack of small amount of fruit but not too much as impacts dinner appetite
5.00 - dinner of anything with potatoes and hopefully veg. He is like me in that when he has a cold he wants really strong flavoured food (Chile Con Carne is a big favourite of his).  Dessert of yoghurt and fruit.
6.30 - Bath, story and up to 8oz milk.

He is not a massive milk fan so only has one bottle a day but has at least one yoghurt a day and I tend to mix a bit of dairylea into his dinners to thicken and cool.
He drinks loads of water throughout day
