This may be a sin in the eyes of the babyw's ..........but I found the best way to calm my very over excitable, spirited baby. I sit on my exercise ball, gently bouncing, with her and no matter how jumpy she is, it has never failed to really soothe her. Obviously it must not become prop so whip her off it the minute you see and sleepy signs. Good luck!
PS. I also lay her carefully across it when she has tummy pains, and really gently pat her back or roll the ball and her in a small circular motion, also works really well!
I may be committing terrible mother crimes, but it works and she loves it!!
