DreamFeed/Night Waking
« on: October 04, 2006, 16:42:32 pm »
I read on another post that the dreamfeed should be done 2 hours after the last feed. In my case her "last" feed for the day is 6pm.. which means I would dream feed at 8pm? But she goes to bed at 7pm.. and I dream feed at 10:15ishpm...... (she is 9wks old and weighs approximately 11.5lbs..

My question is, should I be cluster feeding at 8pm and then dream feeding at 10:30?

I ask this because she habitualy wakes up at 2isham....and then between 4-6am constantly. I have tried feeding her at these times but she only takes .5oz or maybe 1oz sometimes. She's clearly NOT hungry. I give her her paci back and she will go back to sleep. Between 4-6am Im not sure whats going on....This was tuesdays routine...(and very typical of her day)

I'm not sure about the 2 hour thing. I've never heard of it, I'll look into it.
We would do her last feed at 6:30-7 and then dreamfeed at 10:30-11.

i have never heard the 2 hour rule.  in the books it suggests between 10/11pm but not after 11.  if you believe lo is waking from habit then it is worth trying w2s it worked well for us we were in same situation as you.

Ive spent much of today checking on my daughter during her naps. We have a monitor and I dont hear her making noise so I assumed she was sleeping. IT TURNS OUT that she naps for about an hour and then lays in her crib staring at the wall !!  ??? I watched her on two different naps and she napped 1 hour and stared at the wall for an hour. HOw do I get her to go to sleep?

There is nothing on the walls....nothing in her crib just a plain blue wall.......  ??? ???

LOL Kayla used to do this all the time. Sometimes if I left her she'd go back to sleep, sometimes not. If she isn't fussing then don't worry, she's fine. She's still getting quiet time.
How many naps does she have?

She naps from 7-9am , 10-12pm, 1-3pm and then it gets skewed... I will put her down at 4pm.. and sometimes she sleeps until 5pm sometimes until 5:30 sometimes until almost 6 but she never sleeps until 6pm.. She also screams bloody murder at her 6pm bottle  ??? Tonight she flat out refused it and demanded to go to bed.. so we put her to bed and she was out like a light...
