Is he still eating as well? Someone has to tell him that eating is suppose to slow down after they turn 1  TongueBut saying that Catherine is the same her milk intake has increased and her food intake hasn't changed. He must love the cows milk  Wink

Does anyone know that answer to this?  Because DS would drink milk ALL DAY if I let him.  He drinks at least 16 oz BEFORE breakfast and wants more throughout the day.  It does not seem to effect his eating.  He is a big kid.  But I don't want him to get TOO big.   ??? ???  He also eats at least one sometimes 2 yogurts a day along with cheese.  So I know he gets plenty of calcium and that I could probably cut back on the milk.

Has Calum's appetite changed?  How much milk does he get during the day?  Not counting the GALLON he drinks before bed.  ;D ;D ;D LOL.

Natasha, I don't think his food intake has decreased and he usually eats what ever he is given + snacks inbetween.  Yesterday he even took 7oz of juice non-stop after his lunch.  I have even managed to get him onto a sippy cup like teat IYKWIM for his breakfast bottle and we are still using a standard teat on his bottle at night.  I was looking through the net the other day and saw that NUK (thats the bottle we use) also did a sippy spout top so thats what I bought, they fit his normal bottles.  ;D ;D

Judy, Calum also eats 2 small yogurts after his lunch and a large pot of custard after his dinner. We have recently intoduced a small meal/snack at our dinner time as well.  Breakfast he has either fruit (whole banana or whole kiwi fruit) or 1 weetabix or like today readybreak and jam.  ;)  He gets 10oz poured for him at breakfast, today he drank 7oz and I put the other 3oz + an additional 1oz in his readybrek.  For lunch and dinner he gets load of potato, rice, pasta, meat, cheese, etc....  I have noticed his poos have increased and are VERY smelly.  :-X :-X

I have noticed in the last 2 weeks alone that he has had a growth spurt, I can see it in his clothes - ones that fitted him 2 weeks ago now are a bit on the tippit side, so we are putting him in 9 - 12month clothes, they are a bit baggy but the rate he is eating he will be out them soon.  :P

I just saw my doctor and asked these questions. He said after a year food should be the main source of nutrition. As long as they eat more food them milk then it doesnt matter. You want them to eat thier three meals and even offer snacks and then dont limit their milk, its all they want!

If the milk doesnt effect the food then have at it!

Stacy, I sometimes feel that all I do is offer him aditional food during the day - like the muffin pizza's, etc. I definately know when he has had enough of the food he is eating - he either; spits it back out again in a raspberry or if it's fingerfood it gets dumped on the floor.  ::) Some goes for milk and water. That when I know he wants a milk top up at night, he keeps sucking on an empty bottle, takes it off me and tilts his head right back with the bottle in his mouth - looking for more.

Gabrielle - After noticing the leak the other morning and a very wet one this morning, I am going to buy his next size up for night nappies, so instead of a 4 - he will wear a 4.5 at night and continue to wear 4 during the day.

Crikey Lauren, where does he put it all!!  ;D

My Luke is not even 7 months and he is in 9-12 month clothes already and he's in a size 5 at night to hold all the fluid from his bedtime bottle and his dream feed!

By the way he is going he isn't going to be in his 9 - 12 month clothes long. He had just out grown some clothing he had worn since he was 6months  :o

He was weighed at hospital the other day, Dh can't remember what it was and they didn't write it in his book.  >:(

Bless him!  ;D

Wish Luke would stay in clothes that long, I don't think his 9-12 will last much longer.  He's tall as well...gets it from his dad (6ft 4")  ::)

Oh Lauren...you make me want to cry!  I wish that Katie would eat like that!!  I think she would sleep better if she did!!!  My little bird is only pecking at things these days.  Oh and she's popping out of her 12MO clothes.  We're in that awkward phase where most of the 12M's are too small, but the 18M's are way too big.

You're so lucky!  And Go Calum, you milk-drinkin' machine!!!  Surely he'll be big and strong!
