Fruit
« on: October 12, 2006, 02:49:09 am »
Ok my 14month old DD is overall a great eater(when not teething) always has been, eats table food 99% of the time and a variety of finger food EXCEPT Fruit. She will get it puree on its own or mixed in with her cereal in the morning but if i give her fruit pieces she just plays with it. I am sure this is just a phase just wondering if anyone else went through this with their LO and when did this stop? I keep offering it everyday and eat some as well as she often eats better if she sees us eating it as well.

Ewan did this as well.  As a matter of fact he still prefers veg to fruit. I just kept offering and he eventually ate more.  He does still like applesauce and yogurt ;D

We went through this as well and are still in the phase.  I noticed that she liked the consistency or crackers or all things crunchy.  At our local natural store, or big chain store with organic section, they have small packs of freeze dried fruit.  They have nothing added to them, no sugar, no preservatives, etc.  They are called Just Blueberries, Rasperries, etc.  they even have veggies.

their website http://www.justtomatoes.com You can go onto their site and put in your zip code and it will tell you where you can purchase their products.

My dd loves them.  We are in a raspberry phase right now.  It makes me feel good that she's getting the fruit.  hth :)

DD did this as well.  after eating fruit with no problems she suddenly refused fruit about a month ago - even her total favourite of banana

the good news is that she's slowly getting back into it again mostly because I make a point of eating fruit in front of her and you can guarantee she wants whatever I have!"  :o
