Cluster feeds
« on: October 12, 2006, 08:37:06 am »
Hiya all I am new here and have been reading Tracy Hoggs book, The Baby Whisperer.  Its great but I cannot get my 2 month old baby boy to do the cluster feeds.  If he had a feed at 4pm (for example) and I try again to feed him at 6pm he wont take it.  So the "tanking up" concept just doesnt work for me and I wondered if anyone else had this and how it turned out for you.

He is up every 1 1/2 - 2 hours every night, not necessarily hungry but keeps waking and feeds every 3 hours.  We have done EASY, I am still trying to stick to it but its diffcult when he is so erratic in his day to day wants.  I know I am supposed to take charge but its so hard.  :D

Any tips appreciated.  Thank you.

Sound really frustrating. My lo loved his cluster feeds. I usually knew he was clustering when he just kept on wanting to feed, usually he cried for it. I don't have anything to help, but am sending big hugs your way.

Would it be possible to do the cluster as two dreamfeeds?  So 9pm and 11pm?  Because he is not awake, or not very awake, he may do this and not fight it?
