Mastitis?

I suspect that I have mastitis. I have had flu like symptoms for the past 4 days and didn't think anything of it until I woke up this morning with sharp pains in my breast. It feels very hard and I had a blocked duct there about a month ago. Who do you recommend seeing for this? I have an appointment with my general physician today since I thought I was going to get the flu shot today - I guess not Should I keep the appointment with my gp or try to get an appointment with my OBGYN???

I would think your GP would be able to help you out.  You can see if you can get and appt with your ob/gyn and if you can't get one today, keep your GP appt.  It is very important that you be seen today so you can start the healing.

GP is absolutely fine. It'll probably be a combination of antibiotics and  you doing self-help stuff e.g. massage.

P.S if you do get antibiotics protect yourself against thrush by building up your 'good' bacteria with probiotics - natural yoghurts, lacto acidophilus supplements.
