Ok, the last 2 days she's been going down for her nap 15 to 30 minutes later, same for bedtime but she's been sleeping an extra hour to 1.5 hours in the morning. Yippee--Carmela's mom you were right--I guess with some lo's at this age the slightly later sleeptimes pays off with longer overall sleep!

Well, today myy dd finally woke up after 6. 6:20 to be exact. So today I not going to put her down until 1 for her nap, and then 7:45 for her night time. We were at 8 before the time change but then she got all screwed up. I will try a litle later and see how it goes...

Do you guys wake them up after a certain with the nap? I debate this.... Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't.

I still wake him up after 2 hours, especially if we're getting near to 4 pm and it would mean a later bedtime. Having said that, if he was tired and went for a nap early, I would leave him sleep more than 2 hours if I thought he needed it. Same thing if he was poorly, they need their sleep to get better.

My dd seems to have given up daytime naps -she's 26 months. and stays awake for 12 or 13 hours, perfectly happy. She goes for an after lunch 'rest' for half an hour. She might drop off to sleep if we're out in the car. But that's about it. At night she'll sleep for about 11.5 hours. I realise that this isn't technically enough sleep. She's asleep by 7:30pm and up at about 6:45 am. She's always been a very short sleeper. Given that she seems happy through the day should I mind?

Honestly, if it works for you in my opinion then it is fine. Some children just don't need as much sleep as others. As long as she is really happy in the day most of the time then it must work. Mine on the other hand would be a complete wreck after a day or two!

Dorian turned 2 last month. Here's his.

6:30-7:00am--wake up(If i'm lucky sometimes 7:30
Noon-2:30--nap
On occasion he'll sleep til 3:00 but i don't let him sleep past that or it will upset bedtime.
8:30-9:00pm bedtime

At 25 months we have:-

wake 6am/ 6.15am
nap 12.30 - 2.15 (Varies by 1/2 hr - he makes up total sleep to 12 hrs!)
in bed 7.20/7.30pm
asleep by 8pm
