My DD is 15months but i don't think it is much different to what 17month olds are eating:

7am - Wake 9ozs milk in a cup
8am - Breakfast: Bowl of porriage/museli and or slice of toast
10am - Snack:1/2cup yoghurt and muesli bar
11.30am - Lunch: A sandwich
12pm - Nap
2-3.30pm - (Depending when she wakes) a fruit stick while we go for a walk ir run errands.
4pm - Fruit and some biscuits
5pm - 7ozs milk in a cup
6/6.30pm - Dinner: Always what we have now as she eats dinner with us. Quantity when she isn't teething which is right now is about 1/2cup worth. Sometimes some custard for afters.
Then bath and bed.
HTH.

Natasha,

I was intrigued to see that your LO eats a sandwich for lunch. I want to try that for DS. What do you put in it? Is it open faced (i.e. one slice of bread) or two slices? Do you cut it up into little pieces or how do you serve it? How much of it does your LO usually eat? Do you toast the bread?

Sorry to be so moronic with the questions, but I love the idea of a sandwich for a 15 month old, but I've just never done it before.

Hi Gabrielle,

A sandwich is very handy when we are out. I have given her toasted cheese before but normally i give a normal sandwich (2 slices) crusts cut off (she won't eat them at the moment as she is teething) cut into 4. I put on it: cream cheese, vegemite, jam, honey, peanut butter. She pulls them apart and eats then seperated anyway.

Typical Schedule (most days) for Tyler -just turned 17 months

7:00AM-Wake
7:30AM-Breakfast (Eggs, banana and 12 oz milk in straw cup)
9:30AM-Snack (Fruit or Crackers or Cheese)-Sometimes a little of each  :-[ :-[
11:30AM-Lunch (Last night's leftovers-Meatloaf and Vegetable-just an example)
Noon-Nap
3:30PM-Snack (Yogurt, crackers)
6:00PM-Dinner (Meat, vegetable and applesauce)
7:30PM-Bedtime Bottle (6oz milk)

He drinks milk all day long in his straw cup.  Probably drinks about 24-28oz a day.  Would drink more if I let him... ::) ::)

HTH!
