setting the alarm for night feeding?

Strange question, but does anyone set their alarms to wake them up for the 3am feed before their babes wake naturally?  The reason i ask is a friend of mine has done a 4 hourly bottle routine from the word go and would set her alarm to feed her lo at 3am to maintain this routine.  She would then set it 15 - 30 mins forward and eliminated the night feed when her lo slept til 0430!

I did for the first two weeks when lo was jaundiced. After that I waited for him to wake on his own.
