Nap Interruptions
« on: November 13, 2006, 17:21:44 pm »
Hello all.  I was wondering what everyone does when their lo's nap is interrupted.  My little one fell asleep at about 9:20am and at about 10am the air conditioner came on and woke my light sleeper up.  (It had come on earlier in his nap and he slept through it but not this time.)  He did not cry, actually he is happily chatting away.  I know that he would have slept longer had he not been woken up but now I don't think he will go back to sleep.  I usually leave him alone to see if he will go back to sleep and if he doesn't after about 15min I get him up.

Thanks for your opinions.   ;D

I would leave him unless he starts to cry then PU/PD.  Sounds like he isnt unhappy, just let him have quiet time in his crib if he isnt upset.  HE may well fall asleep by himself.  :)

Hi Kimberly
My lo used to wake up halfway through her morning nap doing a poo almost every other day. I would do exactly what you do- wait to see if she went back to sleep and if not, get her up. She was always happy and didn't seem to suffer from having a short nap, we just had to adjust timings for the rest of the day, sometimes she would last till bed ok and sometimes we had an early night.

I wait to see if DD will go back to sleep.  I normally leave her alone unless she starts to get upset then I may try wi/wo until normal nap time is over.  HTH
