I wasn't ready!

So Ella turns two today. We bought a toddler bed the other day and in good time too seeing as she has just learned to launch herself out of the crib this morning.  ::) I knew this wouldn't be easy but I put her down an hour ago for her nap and the little munchkin picked today to also learned how to open her door. Needless to say she is either running in and out of her room or chucking stuff everywhere and singing with glee about her newfound freedom.

sigh. I so wasn't ready for this. She's been a great napper but fights nighttime sleep. Methinks I am in for a loooong night.  >:(

Thanks for letting me vent and oh, if you have any extra sleep vibes I have a feeling we are going to need them.  ;D

yikes!!  :o  i have no advice as we are having loads of sleep issues too and i dare not convert her crib to a toddler bed yet!!  that would just be the kiss of death!

i hope that she gets used to it soon and starts actually sleeping in it.  but hey maybe if she doesn't take a nap, she'll go to sleep tonite!   ;)

ps-she's 2 today?!  awww... :-*

One and a half hours later all is quiet on the western front. Hmmm. just in time for MIL to come over. Is 2 p.m. to early to start the boozing?   :P :D

ack. a 45 minute nap plus one MIL. Where does that leave me? Online with you all of course!  ;D I might crack open that wine after all. lol. At least dd slept though!

Well after 3 stories and only two "I want mummy!" -ies, my TWO year old went to sleep all by herself in her new big bed tonight. I am now going to have champagne with dh and remember what I thought life was going to be like two years ago...  ;D

Bless her heart! Don't they look so small too in their big beds! Well done Ella (and you!, hope you enjoyed your well deserved drink!)

Ella slept from 8 until 7:30 this morning, so your sleepy vibes worked.  ;D I am one proud mama. (and a good thing she did too after me having champagne...  :P )

Wow :o :o  That worked out quite well really, didn't it??!  I dread the day Madi goes into a toddler bed.  Thank goodness she hasn't figured out how to get out of the cot yet ;D
