I found this site after becoming so frustrated & exhausted with LO's constant night wakings i did a internet search for Tracy to see if she could give me any help & advice.  I cannot express the sadness i felt when i found out she had passed away.
Tracy, you are always in my thoughts and I'd like to thank you for the difference you (and your legacy) has made to my life, and to the lives of so many other mothers.  You are missed.

Thank you Tracy for all that you have taught me, above all - to respect a baby and not to treat them as 'property' or a 'toy'

Our DD thrived once I adopted your philosophy and is a happy well balanced child now, who has 2 very happy parents.

Thanks Tracy - missed, but not forgotten

:'( today is truly a sad day, i often feel the presence of tracy around me, i hear her words, i feel she is alway there for me, i am sure she would be so happy if she was here and saw how much this site means to so many people, the community that she began and she would be proud of all the hard work that has gone into this site, thanks to everyone that helped to do that, i like that tracy said we are all "baby whisperer's" we should all feel proud, i am going to keep her books for when my girls need them, sylvia xx

I am truly blessed to have been given SOBW when I was pregnant with dd1. It really was a life-saver, with all the AP I see around me. I felt blessed again when I discovered this site and this incredible community. The support and love we share between us is simply amazing, and to me the greatest tribute to Tracy. So thank you Tracy for starting to whisper, thank you Andy for making it possible for us to do it too, and thank you felllow BWs for never-ending whispering.

My life changed the moment my pediatrician recommended I get the BW books.  I went from being really insecure about being a mother and just soooooo unsure of everything.  Reading Tracy's words made me feel that all of the sudden I had a mentor, a real teacher in this mothering business.  She taught me the skills I needed to become a babywhisperer - someone who could look and listen for my baby's needs and then meet them.  And then this community!  There are not enough complimentary words on the planet to describe how important and amazing this site is.  I am so grateful that Tracy wanted this community to exist and that it has flourished under her influence.  Thank you so incredibly much Tracy for sharing your incredible gift.

My mom bought me the first book (in hardcover) when I was pregnant with Andrew, and he was 8 months old when the toddler book came out, so I truly felt like she was writing these books for me!  I remember emailing her a thank you when Andrew was about 4 months old and she responded (!!!talk about exciting!!!)  From the day I found the site I was hooked (though I have taken breaks here and there).  Her books made me a better mom and the online community I have found here over the last 5 years has grown in exponential numbers, a testament to her knowledge!  This site has seen so much growth over the last 5 years (old timers remember the days before the chat room on "petunia", when Tracy would join us there (!!!), the time when we didn't have PM boxes, or even a "Toddler" section!) and I am truly proud to have been a part of it.

Thank you, Tracy.  You are missed.
