hi there
my daughter is 15 weeks old and for the past few weeks has been waking up at the same time every night. i know it's not hunger as she goes back to sleep after i put the dummy in (probably a prop) and then wakes about an hour or so later for a feed. i'm assuming she's waking out of habit and am thinking of trying the wake to sleep method unless anyone has any other ideas! has anyone tried it with success as i am somewhat sceptical?!
thanks for your help

hey there,
I did have success with my lo doing w2s for habitual night wakings at 4.5 months old.  It took me 3 nights of doing it, but it worked.  He always woke at 4:30am and I knew it wasn't from hunger as well.  As long as it is the same time every night, I think that it definately works.  I didn't know how much to wake him at first, so I asked in the chat room...and the consensus was to just stir your lo.  I would just touch his lips and put my hand on his chest and he would stir but not wake, and settle back into a deep sleep in seconds.
good luck!

Yes, it will take at least 3 nights for it to "take" so don't get discouraged!

thanks everyone. tried it and she managed to sleep for an extra 45 minutes which i guess is good. then woke every hour as i'm weaning her off her night feed which i think had turned into a prop as was such a small amount. will keep persevering.
