Falling asleep during A time
« on: December 18, 2006, 01:25:10 am »
Hi, my 8 week old just fell asleep during activity time (20 mins of dancing with me) so I put him in his cot but he woke up as I was putting him down. He's not crying just looking around and cooing. Should I give him more activity time or just leave him in his cot until he cries or falls asleep?

Thanks :)

Hi, sorry it's been a few days -- but for future reference, if he's happy in his cot, I'd probably just leave him there until he falls asleep or cries -- if he cries then I'd do some pat/shh or comfort him however works best for you.

a quiet baby in a cot is a good thing, the earlier they can self soothe the better!!  sounds like you're doing great

Mine often has a nap during Activity time too.  It doesn't seem to be a problem, in fact, it seems to refresh her and makes the rest of playtime more active!!
