well, I walked for 1hr from 4-5 and no sleepies. Noah loved it, looked around and rested but did NOT sleep.  doesn't seem overtired at this point. I am feeding him supper now at 5:15 and he'll be in bed for 6:20, hopefully asleep by 6:30ish.

This still goes back to my theory of 12.5hr total sleep need, again 11+hr night and like 1hr 25min nap.  with 5.5 awake before nap and 5.5 after nap, that still fits within normal amount of total awake time for the day right?

definately a wierd day for us and we'll see how the night goes.

well Noah was asleep by about 6:35pm., stirred after 40min, woke crying at 3am, fussed/cried off and on for about 20min. never seemed to be crying for long enough for me to go in. he would let out a cry and then stop and start settling, was probably up for about 1/2h or so. other then that didn't here him awake at all.  slept till 6:35am this morning.

I guess today I'll offer a catnap at 9:45/10 or so and only let him sleep 20min? and then what longer nap at 1pm??
if no cat nap,
then I'll have him in his crib for 11:30/11:45.
does this sound ok?

well, Noah took the catnap, in crib at 9:45am and asleep at 10am and I woke him after 25min, so 10:25am
took 2nd nap, in crib at 12:55pm and asleep by 1:00pm or so, I woke him at 2:50pm,  ;D,wasn't sure how long to let him sleep but I thought that was plenty in time for a 7pm/7:15pm bedtime.

so overall, pretty good day,we'll see what the night brings....

thanks for all of your help Stacy

well Stacy, I guess I should have let the afternoon nap go a little longer, he seemed tired by 6pm, so he was in bed by 6:45, and asleep within 5min. ???

do you think that it takes a while for them to adjust to being up a little longer before bed? he used to only have about 3 1/2 hrs before bed?
