My son will be 10 months on Sunday and he eats all finger foods, no more pureed baby food. He eats: steamed green peas, steamed green beans or canned green beans without salt, sweet potato fries (cut up a sweet potato into french fry size strips, drizzle with a little extra virgin olive oil, then bake for 30-45 min at 375), cooked carrots (I actually buy the Gerber graduates jarred carrots, but you can just cut up carrots and steam them), banana, pear (wait for it to get really ripe, then it is nice and soft), apples (cook them in a pan on the stove on very low heat until soft), blueberries, peaches (really ripe or cook them like apples), plums, pasta, cheese, bread, chicken, beef, and Cheerios. That is all I can think of for now.
When I first started finger foods, I just gave him a little, then finished with the purees. But, once he got really good at eating the finger foods, then I just cut out the purees and just gave him finger foods.
I am sure it is frustrating that your lo won't eat, but just keep offering. Make it a fun, light-hearted time and hopefully she will catch on. I am sure if she has been struggling with ear infections that that is affecting her wanting to eat. Have you tried offering solids before a bottle to see if she will take it then? I think around 9 months they only need 20-25 oz of formula a day. Maybe she is just not hungry for solids since she is drinking so much formula.
I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any more questions. Good luck to you!
