My daughter is also 6 mo and not sleeping through the night. I'm not sure really what the problem is. I also started my LO on solids at 4.5 mo. as her ped. recommended. She is now on three meals a day, but the prob I've started to see is that she is starting to drink less formula. It's like she is holding out for the solids which don't sustain her through the night. Some others suggested that I quit giving solids before bed and maybe she would drink more milk, but it's not working. She may drink about an ounce more milk now, but she is still waking up between 3 am and 4 am hungry. (I think) I try the paci, she spits it out and keeps screaming. I don't know if I should feed her as much solids as I can since she will eat an endless supply, or continue cutting back on the solids hoping she will one day drink more milk. I'm also doing the DF, but she still wakes up every night.
This is very frustrating. I've tried PU/PD, but usually by the time it works, it's almost time to get up anyway. Then she and I are tired from being up half the night. Any suggestions? Anthea, did you cut back on solids as others suggested?
