Good sleeper gone bad..

My DD suddenly has started waking at night again, she's very demanding and only wants Mommy. Daddy just wont do. I'm not really sure how to handle this and get things back on track.

Things that may be causeing it are..

She has an absest under one of her front teeth its all puffy and yucky. I'm betting it isn't all that comfortable. She's on Penisilen for that, not sure if that effects sleep or not.

She is just not eating as much. I think this is related to the tooth since thats when it started.

I now work at night and she is still ajusting to it. She seems to just want to cling to me all day (and night when she wakes now) I'm sure this is normal but I really don't know how to help her through this.

Any advice and thoughts would be appreasiated.

How long has she had the abcess?  If she is on penicillin, does the doctor recommend a mild painkiller for the night times?  I'm not sure with medicines, but just thought that if the penicillin was fighting the infection, it probs doesn't do anything for he pain she is in.  Poor little thing, I had an abcess and it was painful.   I think that you will have stick it out whilst she is going through this, hopefully the penicillin will start kicking in and she will resettle, let us know how things are in a couple of nights.

She's had the absest since at least Christmas eve when I first noticed it. I've been giving her Motrin at bedtime, maybe I need to redose when she wakes up.

We'll see how it goes.
