Crawling in cot
« on: January 02, 2007, 00:44:19 am »
My lo is been crawling for two weeks and has a new trick of waking in the night and I'm assuming is disoriented and attempts to crawl in his cot. Then he bangs his head into the walls of the cot and wakes up instead of resettling! Has this happened to anyone else? I'm really confused on what to do to help him!  :)

My lo never crawled in their cribs---he prob is dreaming. instead of sleep walking he is sleep crawling  :D. Does he do it every night? Is he hurting himself? If it happens just somenights maybe look into his activity--he may not be getting enough or getting too much.
May God give you the graces you need to take care of the gift(s) He has given you. Children are from God, what a wonderful gift to recieve.

He seems to be doing it every night, but he isn't hurting himself, just waking! Yeah, I might have to look into the activity time.

Hi there, mine did exactly the same thing. When she would wake, she'd crawl until she would bang into a side of the cot and then would back up and lie down. She'd wake as well but fortunately would settle herself back to sleep. The novelty of being able to crawl faded away within about a week.

I've started pd to help with night wakings and I think that will help settle him. Good to know that this has happened with others. My first child didn't crawl in his cot at all so I was really amazed at the whole thing.
