« on: January 03, 2007, 20:32:25 pm »
Hi, I am  a new member who needs help!LONG POST SORRY
My daughter is 29 months old and until 3 months ago slept perfectly 7pm-7am.I have used BW book since she was born. 3 months ago she was seriously ill and we had to call 999.She had a severe kidney infection.since then she has not slept through the night. some night she can be up 3-4 times maybe for only 15minutes each time.other times will be up for hours. She Just wants me her mum. my husband tries to help but at night she only wants me. we have tried a bit of controlled crying shutting her door so she cant come into our room ( in a bed now).and have even had her in our bed where she stills fine. the last 2 nights i have slept in her bed with her.i have ordered BW for toddlers and should be here tomorrow but i just wondered if anyone had any advice.
i really need my sleep as i work full time and am just gettings so exhausted.
thanks Kirsty

She has been through so much lately and I think that she could be going through seperation anxiety.  Take a look at this thread
https://babywhispererforums.com/index.php?topic=62612.0
Especially the bit at the bottom about the blow up bed.  Also, there is an indepth explanation about what to do in your case on page 279 of Babywhisperer solves all your problems.

Let us know what you decide to do, but she really needs to be taught independent sleep again, but you need to take it ever so slowly, whatever you decide, we will help you through it.
