Finger foods
«

I started my LO on the Gerber Fruit puffs last week and he still struggles with them. Sometimes he gets them in his mouth and other times he just cannot get them in his mouth. When he does put in his mouth, he makes an ugly face and does not seem to like it. I am giving him the banana flavored puffs (he loves mashed bananas). He also at times chockes on them.
I was wondering if anyone can tell me what other things can I try as finger foods so that he can start learning to feed himself.

So basically anything that you can cut in little pieces right? Also do you know at what age can we start introducing cheeses? I was thinking about cream cheese.
Thanks for your quick help.

I think my paed said at 9 months it was okay to introduce dairy like cheese, just small amounts. Riley was intolerant of dairy so we held off.
Basically most of Riley's finger foods were little bits of whatever we were having for dinner

We started with cheerios, but a close second was pinches of soft bread. Some of the fruits are easier (for LOs to pick up) if you toss them in crushed cheerios or rice crispies. One of his early favorites was small bites of mom's grilled cheese sandwiches.
