« on: January 04, 2007, 18:54:17 pm »
Was thinking this eve that I have no idea whether the quantities T eats are normal. He grows fine, am not at all worried but just curious.
T has cheerios and a pot of fruit from brekkie
Bottle (sometimes) as am snack
lunch usually I prepare a toddler bowl -ful and he eats maybe 3 quarters then a pot of fruit
snack either fruit of ham and crakers (or bottle if he hasnt had one am)
dinner same amount as lunch

bedtime 200ml bottle

how about your LOs?

I'm actually curious about this too, so I'll share.  My DD is on the light end of the eating scale, I believe.

Still has a 5oz. bottle at 5am
Doesn't care about breakfast, but it's usually offered around 7-8am and she'll eat about 12 bites of whatever we have (waffles, eggs, toast, fruit, etc.).
Lunch is anywhere from 11am to 1pm (whenever it fits in the day unless she asks to be fed) and again she eats about 12 bites of food - most times she won't eat what we're having so she just eats cheerios these days.
At daycare they have a snack around 3pm
Dinner happens between 4:30 and 5:30 and again she picks at her food and her intake is about 12-15 bites.
Bedtime bottle around 7pm for another 3-5 oz. of formula or milk.
No formal snacks at home but she does have a cup of cheerios at her disposal most times however she finds it more fun to scatter them than eat them!  She also has milk and water during the day but about 4 oz. total of both.

My little DS wakes up ready to eat.  I feel like he is always eating.  His typical day:

530 - A handful of grapes, handful of cheerios, milk
6 - 630 - eggs, sausage link, slice of whole wheat toast, half banana (or waffle in place of the eggs and toast)
10 - cheese and crackers, banana
1130 - lunch is usually a sandwich with turkey, cheese and avocado, peaches, goldfish
330 - yogurt, fruit/cereal bar
530 - whatever we have for dinner
630-7 - bedtime bottle

My dd eats quite a bit so it might not be a good comparison. She will be 15 months on the 10th of Jan.

Breakfast, 1/2 piece toast with peanut butter or cream cheese and jam, 4 ounces whole milk from sippy, 3 tbsp oatmeal mixed with her milk and yoghurt, fruit chunks and some puree.
Lunch 1 hardboiled egg, 3 pieces broccoli, 2 baby tomatoes, chunks of cheese, chunks of fruit, breadstick +2 ounces milk from sippy
Snack Babybel cheese, 1 pot yoghurt, digestive cookie, chunk of fruit.
Dinner 3 tbsp of her oatmeal mixed with her milk and yoghurt, 1 serving  of whatever we are eating, veg puree+3 ounces of whole milk from sippy, chunks of fruit
Bedtime 9 ounce bottle of formula (we are working on eliminating this bottle as all other milk is taken by sippy cup).

Hope this helps :)
Sarah

Yaya, I know she is quite the muncher ;D I find when she is teething, her appetite does go down. She just got her last canine and molar, I am so glad that there are now no more teeth until 2nd year molars. Sarah

Our DS is almost 18 months although his appetite has not changed much in the past few months.  Although at the moment, he is busy with his 2 year molars  :'( can't wait for these to be over and done with.

He used to have 6 oz of milk before his cereal, but has since dropped this as he does not want it.

7:00/7:30 - 2 Weetabix with 8 oz of milk - used to be 1 1/2 when he has his 6 oz of milk.

Will have a few mouth fulls of our cereal when we have our breakfast or a handfull of cherios

9:00 - Slice of toast in nursery

11:15 / 11:30 - Lunch - usually a full toddler bowl at nursery - always a variety including protein and veggies, with a pudding.

2:00 / 2:30 yogurt as snack, and a few organic crisps

4:15 - usually anything that we are eating followed by a small yogurt.

7:15 - 8 oz bottle.

Wow! I think I'm not giving Paul enough milk from what I read in your posts  :-\

Our day goes like this:
8oz milk first thing in the morning (gives me time to fully wake up and my brain start functioning)
About an hour later breakfast consisting of either oatflakes porridge and a piece of fruit (whatever I have at hand) or an egg (boiled or scrambled) with toast and butter and fruit. Sometimes a full pot of yogurt as well.
His lunch is about 4-5 hours later, and it normally is a piece of meat or fish or lentils and veggies everyday. Depending on the portion and his appetite I'll give him a petit filou or fruit for dessert.
Mid afternoon snack is 8-9 oz of milk and a piece of cheese, or bread sticks or fruit or the petit filou if he didn't have it for dessert.
Dinner is something light, like yogurt and fruit, or a cheese sandwich or mashed potatoes with ham and some butter.
And he drinks plenty of water throughout the day.

I have to mention that if he had a say in what he eats, he'd eat all day long.  ::)

Thanks for that Stacy!

I also think that this thread is a good idea to know how much other toddlers are eating and what. ... It reassured me, anyway.
Hope it does the same for other moms.

Here is what Riley ate yesterday:

1 1/2 weetabix made with 4 ounces rice milk, jar of pears (yes, we still do some jars...)
5 ounce mixed fruit juice

yogurt, quesadilla (a few bites)
6 ounces Rice Milk

satsuma

big bowl brocolli and cheese soup, crackers
bites of our dinner (we were eating out)
12 ounces rice milk

He is 17 months old.
