Do I need to switch to 1 nap?
« on: January 09, 2007, 20:04:53 pm »
Hi ladies,

I just needed some advice, my DD almost 11 months, I think is moving towards 1 nap. The past few weeks she has been fighting her morning nap and is happy to chat away in her cot for upto 1.5hrs but will not sleep, when I pick her up she is happy & seems to be fine to stay awake for a couple more hours.  Some days she will nap in the morning & some days she won't.  My question is do I progress towards 1 nap by keeping her up or do I go with the flow & let her decide?

our routine:
5.30am-wake
9am-usually nap for 1hr
12.30pm-nap usually for 1.5hrs
5.30pm-sleep
She sleeps through the night but has been waking early for the past few weeks & I have heard that babies wake early when they are moving towards 1 nap?
any advice would be appreciated.

Regards

Nush and Simran

Hi Natasha,

Thanks for the link, I think she is pushing towards 1 nap, so for the next few weeks I will work on the advice given.

Thanks
