Isn't it funny how we are working so hard right now to get our LOs to sleep and later in life (like their teenage years), we can't get them to wake up early
Well, we have made some major progress. Last night our LO went down fine and stirred at 2am and 5am but was able to settle himself to sleep. He then woke at 5:30am and I knew I had to be engaged because he wasn't go back to sleep. I did the WI / WO for 10 minutes (with lots of heavy crying
) and he fell asleep until 6:20am. By lunchtime, he was so terribly exhausted. We put him down at 12:45pm for a nap - we may have stretched it too long. He woke up every 30mins but our nanny managed to comfort him back to sleep so his total naptime was *2HRS*
That is the longest he has napped in...I don't remember when. All our nanny had to do was walk in his room and he immediately went back down....she didn't even have to touch him or say anything. I guess he's finally getting the point. I'm not sure if that will work for me though. He seems to go bezerk when he sees me. Anyway, when my LO finally woke up from his nap, he didn't cry at all, which hasn't occured in a long time. He's been waking up and crying bloody murder. He layed in his crib and said "mama" in his sweet gentle voice... and you betcha I ran up those steps as fast I could to give him lots of hugs, kisses, and loving.
Hopefully this is a start of a good trend and I just didn't jinx it.
